Privacy and local data
How Typedo stores your progress, handles backups, and loads the app.
Your progress stays in this browser
Typedo stores profiles, settings, practice passages, unfinished attempts, and learning progress in this site's IndexedDB database. It does not send your typed passages or progress to Sunaissu. There are no accounts, analytics, advertising scripts, or automatic cloud backups in this release.
Loading the website
The website host receives the network information needed to deliver the app, such as your IP address and requested file URLs, and may keep operational or security logs. Fonts and other app files are served from this website. Optional offline setup stores public app files in your browser's Cache Storage.
Backups and shared results
A downloaded JSON backup can contain your profile name, saved custom passages, unfinished text, settings, and results. Keep it private. Each backup covers one profile. Result-card images omit profile names and passage text; you choose whether and where to share them. Challenge settings are carried in link fragments.
Moving or deleting data
Export each profile before changing browser, device, or domain. Localhost, an old domain, and typedo.sunaissu.com have separate storage. Restore the backups on the new site. Reset progress clears the active profile's learning records but keeps its settings and saved passages. Deleting a named profile or clearing this site's browser data removes the corresponding local data.
Getting help
The Help & feedback page links to GitHub issues. GitHub is an external service with its own policies. Issues are public, so do not attach personal backups, private passages, passwords, or other sensitive information.
